Her experience spans supporting organizations as they integrate automation, advanced analytics, and artificial intelligence into coding, revenue cycle, and compliance functions—ensuring innovation is implemented responsibly, defensibly, and in alignment with regulatory expectations. Her background uniquely combines deep technical coding expertise with compliance governance and operational strategy, allowing her to translate complex regulatory and AI-related risk considerations into practical, scalable solutions. Leslie works closely with executive leadership, legal, compliance, IT, and clinical teams to develop guardrails for AI adoption, including model governance, documentation standards, audit readiness, and human oversight frameworks. Previously, Leslie served as Senior Director of Compliance & Audit at Waud Capital Partners, overseeing compliance programs across portfolio companies, and she currently serves in advisory and board leadership roles, including with Engage NC. She is frequently engaged to advise healthcare organizations on AI risk assessment, technology-enabled workflow design, and compliance program integration in evolving regulatory environments. Leslie holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Arizona (Global Campus) and maintains multiple national certifications through the American Academy of Professional Coders, the American Health Information Management Association, and the Health Care Compliance Association.

Known for his ability to translate complex technology into practical, measurable outcomes, he works closely with executives, physicians, IT teams, and frontline staff to ensure solutions are not only technically sound, but usable, compliant, and aligned with real-world healthcare delivery.
